Show Notes:

Life, indeed, is not a bed of roses. And things certainly do seem to consistently “fall apart.” In this episode of The Soul Sessions Podcast, Kori talks about when life feels hard. Life is full of moments of hardship such as grief, heartache, stress, overwhelm, depression, anxiety. And happens to everyone. No matter how hard you try to keep things going and getting things done, everything seems to be on a standstill.

Running away from it doesn’t help. Much more, blaming and finding excuses just get you dragged down further into the pit of hopelessness and despair. In this episode, Kori talks about these moments that are downright painful and references one of her favorite inspirational books “When Things Fall Apart: Heart Advice for Difficult Times” by Pema Chodron to find inspiration on how to get through them. Chodron’s book has become a bible for Kori for getting through her deepest ruts. The best that we can do is to make sense of all that’s happening.

If you are feeling low and needing a little inspiration, this is the episode for you.  Let Kori help you understand why “things are meant to fall apart” and perhaps you will begin to see your struggles as opportunities even if just for a brief moment. Take your time and soak your ears deep into this one.

“As Newton said, for each and every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, so we’re killing it and then we’re burned out. We’re grieving and then we find love again. You can only know happiness if you know sadness. Life is the ultimate roller coaster full of unpredictable emotions and uncontrollable events always ebbing and flowing.” – Kori Hahn
